In response to the scandalous material published by Ms. Ursula von der Leyen on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the IPN International Cooperation Office posted a message on their official English-language Facebook account.

On January 27, 2024, a video was published on the X platform by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, to commemorate the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. In the video, Ursula von der Leyen and other commissioners read the names of the Holocaust victims. The captions of the video indicated the names of the victims, their places of birth, and death.

Several of the victims were captioned "Auschwitz camp, Poland," not indicating that the extermination camp was built and operated by the Germans during World War II in the area they occupied.

The Institute of National Remembrance is starting an information campaign aimed at emphasizing that during World War II, in many European countries under German occupation, there were German concentration camps where millions of Jews and representatives of other nations were murdered.

The English-language spot above is intended to disseminate reliable knowledge related to responsibility for crimes from World War II.
