Weekend Street, Roadway and Bridge Closures

The Department of Transportation has compiled a list of areas where construction, bridge inspections and repairs, or street events will impede the normal flow of traffic this weekend.

Two of three lanes of the Harlem River Drive under the 145th Street Bridge will be closed in each direction starting the night of November 7 through the morning of November 16, from 11pm to 5am Monday to Friday, 12:01am to 7:30am Saturday and 1am to 9am Sunday. There will be 15-minute full closures each hour between 12:01am and 5am weekdays and Saturdays and 1am to 5am Sundays.
The Brooklyn Bridge Pearl Street entrance ramp eastbound to Brooklyn will be closed 2am to 8am Saturday. Motorists should use the Park Row or Centre Street entrance. The Grand Street Bridge over Newtown Creek will be closed Saturday and Sunday 6am to 4pm. Motorists should use the Metropolitan Avenue Bridge. Fifth Avenue between East 23rd Street and East 57th Street in Manhattan will be closed Saturday from 11am to 4pm for the Veterans Day Parade. Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office: Water Street between Fulton Street and Broad Street in Manhattan will be closed Friday from 11am to 6pm. University Place between Waverly Place and 14th Street in Manhattan will be closed Saturday from 11am to 6pm. Astor Place between Broadway and Lafayette Street in Manhattan will be closed Saturday from 11am to 6pm. Madison Avenue between East 42nd Street and East 57th Street in Manhattan will be closed Sunday from 11am to 6pm. Court Street between Joralemon Street and Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn will be closed Sunday form 8am to 7pm. More detailed information is available on the DOT web site’s weekend
