The westbound Lincoln Tunnel helix will be closed to traffic 1:30 am to 9:30 am Saturday. Two lanes of the westbound helix will be closed 11:30 pm on Friday to 1:30 pm Saturday.
On Saturday and Sunday one of two lanes on the upper level of the Manhattan Bridge westbound to Manhattan will be closed 12:01 am to 7:00 am, and two of three lanes on the lower level to Manhattan will be closed 12:01 am to 8:00 pm, to facilitate NYCDOT and NY State DOT repairs and inspection work. During this work there will be two lanes in each direction open on the bridge.
There will be no exit from the lower level inbound of the Queenboro Bridge onto 2nd Avenue on Sunday from 12:01 am to 4:00 am; from 4:00 am to 8:00 am there will be no entry to the lower level to Queens from 2nd Avenue. During these times trucks are restricted from the bridge. Motorists should use the upper level of the bridge or consider alternate East River crossings.
One of three lanes in each direction of the FDR Drive at East 78th Street and East 81st Street may be closed 8:00 am to 11:00 am Sunday, and a second lane in each direction may be closed 5:00 am to 8:00 am Sunday, to facilitate NYCDOT pedestrian bridge inspection work.
One lane of traffic on Atlantic Avenue between Ralph Avenue and Utica Avenue in Brooklyn will be maintained westbound from 10:00 pm Friday to 5:00 am Monday to facilitate MTA/LIRR work. Eastbound will not be affected. Motorists should plan alternate routes.
The following streets will be closed on Saturday:
– Astor Place between Broadway and Lafayette Street in Manhattan will be closed 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Friends of CB #2 Festival.
– Park Avenue South between 17th and 23rd Streets in Manhattan will be closed 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Manhattan Republican Club Festival.
– 52nd Street between 5th and 7th Avenues in Manhattan will be closed 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for Encore Community Services.
The following streets will be closed on Sunday:
– 7th Avenue between 47th and 57th Streets in Manhattan will be closed 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Holy Innocents Festival.
– 53rd Street between 8th and 9th Avenues; 9th Avenue from 53rd Street to 48th Street; 48th Street from 9th Avenue to 8th Avenue; and 8th Avenue from 48th Street to 53rd Street in Manhattan will be closed noon to 4:00 pm for the Lord of Miracles Procession.
– The following streets in Manhattan and Brooklyn will be closed 10:00 am to 3:00 pm for the American Diabetes Association: South Street to Dover Street; Dover Street to Park Row; onto Brooklyn Bridge pedestrian walkway; cross bridge to Adams Street; Adams Street to Joralemon Street; Joralemon Street to Court Street; Court Street to Tillary Street; Tillary Street to Brooklyn Bridge; cross bridge to Park Row; Park Row to Spruce Street; Spruce Street to Gold Street; Gold Street to Fulton Street; Fulton Street to South Street.
– College Point Boulevard between 14th Avenue and 20th Avenue in Queens will be closed 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the College Point Board of Trade Festival.
– The east side of Cross Bay Boulevard from 16th Road to Noel Road, and Noel Road to Firehouse in Queens will be closed 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for the Children’s Halloween Parade.
The times listed for closures for street fairs are for the actual times of the street fairs themselves. The streets may be closed for longer to allow for set-up and breakdown. Street fair organizers are generally permitted to begin set-up at 8:00 am and breakdown must be completed by 7:00 pm.
Permits for parades, block parties, major street fairs and other public street events are issued either by NYPD or the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office.
