The exhibition features 40 works of Sławomir Iwański, an established artist associated with the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź and the Łódź Film School.
Unique typographic arrangements and high color saturation distinguish Iwański’s minimalist works. Inspired by the achievements of Władysław Strzemiński, who postulated the so-called thinking with his eyes, he composed letters and words on his posters to take specific shapes. The objects of the artist’s other posters include Katarzyna Kobro (1994), Wassily Kandinsky (1996), de Stijl furniture (1997), and Bauhaus (1999); he also created a series dedicated to Shakespeare’s texts.
Sławomir Iwański has exhibited his works in Poland and abroad; he is the recipient of many prestigious awards.
The event is free and open to the public.
