The bilateral talks focused on strengthening of bilateral cooperation in security and defense policy, situation in Ukraine and Russia’s recent aggression on Crimea, Polish-American cooperation and the renaissance of transatlantic relations. The visa waiver program was also raised during Minister Winid meeting with Assistant Secretary V. Nuland.
The meeting’s agenda also included the Eastern Partnership, the Middle East Peace Process as well as the recent developments in Afghanistan, Syria, Central African Republic and Egypt.
The preparation to the upcoming NATO and EU-US Summits were also discussed, as were the ongoing negotiations of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP).
