Talks About Polish-American Energy Cooperation

Polish-American energy cooperation was the main topic of talks held between Ambassador Ryszard Schnepf and Governor Rick Perry of Texas. During the meeting which took place on June 18th 2014, Gov. Perry declared his readiness to visit Poland even by the end of this year.

During the conversation, which centered around trade and energy, Ambassador Ryszard Schnepf spoke of his visits to Houston and Dallas this past April, which offered him an opportunity to meet with top representatives of the local business community. Governor Perry emphasized the need to strengthen economic and energy cooperation between Poland and the state of Texas. As indicated by the Governor, the development of shale gas in Texas has brought many economic, geopolitical and socially benefits. Governor Perry also asserted his willingness to support any initiative which would aid Poland in its effort to extract its shale gas reserves on a commercial scale.
