For Manchester City, the purchase of Alexis Sanchez will pretty much guarantee them the Premier League Title. The amount of tools the club already possesses with Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Raheem Stirling, David Silva and Leroy Sane; the addition with one of the Premier League’s finest forwards and winners would just propel them to a much higher level. His flexibility in attack, being able to play up front, either side, or behind the striker; makes him a great tool to play against all types of opposition.

For Arsenal, it would be the loss of their best player by far to a premier league rival. It would be reminiscent of the sale of Robin Van Persie to Manchester United, which virtually handed the Red Devils the league title. It would be a statement that weakens Arsenal’s position in the transfer market, one that resonates with a lack of ambition. The fanbase would also continue to be fractured, as it already had been with the resigning of Arsene Wenger for two more years as manager. Aside from the 60-60 million pounds gained as a result of the sale, it would degrade Arsenal as a club in almost every other metric.
