If you don’t vote, you won’t be heard: that’s a good description of the strength of every ethnic community in American society. Active participation in political life is not only a privilege: it’s simply the duty of every United States citizen. To increase voter turnout, the Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union (PSFCU) is helping Credit Union members in the voter registration procedure.
Over 55,000 members of our Credit Union will receive a federal voter registration form with their July account statements. By filling it out, every member of our Credit Union (who isn’t on the voter roster yet) will be able to register and then vote in the November elections. Forms are also available at all seventeen branches of the Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union in three states: New York, New Jersey and Illinois. Our Credit Union branch employees will help fill out and send the document.
We encourage you to fill out the registration form and vote in the November elections. Remember that the real strength of the Polish community will be judged by such things as our turnout at the polls on November 8. “It is very important that we as the Polish community take an active part in these elections so that the voice of our ethnic group is significant and heard. We are a community that enjoys a great deal of success, but that does not always translate into strength and political representation. We can change this state of affairs together by being active in the November elections,” said PSFCU Chief Executive Officer Bogdan Chmielewski.
