Last fall, two young Polish men, Andrzej Fąfara and Szymon Pawlak, were chosen to attend the Georgetown University Leadership Seminar, on scholarships awarded by the Jan Karski Educational Foundation and its sister foundation, Fundacja Edukacyjna Jana Karskiego.

Diplomat Andrzej Fąfara talked about Georgetown’s community and the hope of carrying Jan Karski’s principles to further service. fafara-s-essay.pdf

Szymon Pawlak, who had organized a Jan Karski project for an NGO in Karski’s hometown Lodz, wrote about the people he met and experiences in Washington. pawlak-s-essay.pdf

An article about their being chosen out of many applicants describes the selection process and also includes their biographies. We wish both Andrzej and Szymon well in their future careers and trust that the Karski spirit will carry them to much success.
