In two discussion panels, artists, civil servants, businesspeople, art managers and philanthropists will discuss the meaning of art in public diplomacy and business now and in the future.

The panelists will ask, how can we learn from the experience of the USA and Central Europe and secure a sustainable development in the field of art and culture? Is there a space for mutual cooperation of institutions or shall we rely on supportive individuals only? And what is the role of culture in public diplomacy?

F(o)unding Culture is organized by The Czech Center New York and the Aspen Institute Prague on the occasion of the Czech Presidency of EUNIC (The European National Institutes of Culture in New York), in collaboration with the Polish Cultural Institute New York and the Austrian Cultural Forum New York.
