The meeting led by Consul General Maciej Golubiewski, on Thursday, April 13, was attended by professionals from various fields of science and business represented by Consul Sabina Klimek as well as representatives of Polish-American organizations represented by the President of the Kosciuszko Foundation Marek Skulimowski and the President of the Polish Students Organization Monika Dziewa.
The networking session was attended by about 35 people, including a particularly large group of Polish students and graduates from New York University, Quinnipiac University and Columbia University. The goal of the meeting was to establish an open dialogue between Polish students from different universities in the New York Consular District, recent graduates and field professionals.
Consul General Maciej Golubiewski welcomed the guests and shared his years of experience at Johns Hopkins University. Then Bartek Zelajtys, former President of the Polish Club at Columbia University, presented ideas for streamlining communication between Polish young professionals, introducing the newly formed Polish-American Network on LinkedIn. In turn, Marek Skulimowski briefly presented the scholarship opportunities offered by the Kosciuszko Foundation. Then, each of the participants introduced themselves, sharing their observations about studying in the US, their goals and concerns.
After the official part, there was a networking segment during which students could freely exchange their experiences in smaller circles and talk to the Consul General.
