We are very confident that under the new leadership and new security conditions, the Alliance will continue to ensure rapid and effective responses to the threats and challenges emerging at the borders of the Euro-Atlantic Community. Guaranteeing security to all Alliance members remains NATO’s overriding goal.
Jens Stoltenberg will take up his post once the term of office of the current NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen ends on 30 September 2014.
