Il Giardino d’Amore is a European baroque orchestra that performs on original instruments and has appeared in festivals and concert halls in Europe, the United States, and Canada. Founder and leader Stefan Plewniak has been a soloist and concertmaster in many ensembles and collaborates with Jordi Savall and William Christie. Mezzo-soprano Natalia Kawalek-Plewniak has performed as a soloist in the Theater an der Wien and is the winner of several international competitions. Harpsichordist Anthony Newman has performed keyboard music in the United States for more than 35 years. Selections of pieces performed at this concert are featured on the group’s newest CD, Amor Sacro Amor Profano.
