Retired General David Petraeus, former Commander of the U.S. troops in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as former CIA Director, and Corey Lewandowski the first manager of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, received awards in Washington on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Poland’s regaining its Independence. Wednesday’s festivities at Washington’s prestigious Mayflower Hotel was organized by five of the most prestigious Polish-American organizations: Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union, Polish Supplementary School Council of America, Jozef Pilsudski Institute of America, The Kosciuszko Foundation (all from New York) and Chicago’s Copernicus Foundation.
