Once again Epiphany is hosting European Baroque chamber orchestra Il Giardino d’Amore. Joined by guest singers they will perform music on a ocassion of 1050 anniversary of Poland’s baptism. Don’t miss this special event!
Founded in 2011, Il Giardino d’_x0019_Amore is an ensemble consisting of young musicians from various European countries specializing in historically informed performances of 17th and 18th century music. The group’_x0019_s 2016 USA tour is dedicated to the celebration of the 1050th anniversary of the Baptism of Poland. The ensemble will present two concert programs related to this celebration: _x001C_The Heart of Europe_x001D_, highlighting the works of Polish composers, and _x001C_The Orient Express_x001D_, featuring works of Vivaldi, Mielczewski, Fux, Klosemann, Ali Ufki.

The founder of the ensemble, Stefan Plewniak assembled his charismatic and passionate group to amaze its listeners with spectacular shows and fresh energy. He has gained muscial experience by working with many remarkable ensembles such as Jordi Savall_x0019_s Le Concert des Nations and William Christie’_x0019_s Les Art Florissants among others. Mr. Plewniak is a graduate of the Krakow Academy of Music. He has continued his studies at the Maastricht Conservatory in the Netherlands and the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris.
Members of Il Giardino d’_x0019_Amore are chamber musicians and soloists working with a range of Polish and international early music ensembles. Since its formation, the ensemble, has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Mozarteum in Salzburg and has participated in many prestigious early music festivals in Europe and North America, such as the New York Early Music Celebration, the Tartini Festival (Slovenia), the Bach Woche (Austria), the Oude Muziek Festival (Holland), and the Festival of Polish Music in Cracow.
