The Holy See Press Office announced in a communiqué published today that the Pope will leave the Vatican at 7:00 AM, departing by helicopter from the helipad within the Vatican Gardens. Arrival in Monaco is planned for 9:00 AM; followed by a welcome ceremony at the Prince’s Palace. At 9:40 AM, the Holy Father’s visit to the Prince of Monaco is scheduled.
At 11:00 AM, the Pope is scheduled to meet with the faithful in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, where he will deliver a homily. The next point of the pilgrimage will be a meeting with youth and catechumens in the square in front of the Church of St. Devota.
The central point of the apostolic journey will be Holy Mass (3:30 PM). The liturgy, led by Leo XIV, will be celebrated at Louis II Stadium.
At 5:35 PM, the official farewell and departure from the helicopter pad are scheduled. The Pope’s return to the Vatican is planned for 7:45 PM. Leo XIV will be the first Pope to visit the Principality of Monaco on an official visit.
