Med Sklep is a Polish medical supply store in Brooklyn that moved in March 2026 to a new address: 188 Woodpoint Rd #1C, Brooklyn, NY 11211. The store was previously on Roebling Street. The staff speak Polish, and the store is open Monday through Friday.
The need for medical equipment often comes overnight: after a hospital stay, after a procedure, or when an aging parent starts having trouble getting around. At a moment like that, it helps to find a store where you can talk things through calmly, in your own language, and ask all your questions.
Med Sklep has supplied the Polish American community with medical and rehabilitation equipment for more than ten years. Since March 2026, it has been welcoming customers at a new location, which is worth knowing before you head out.
New address: 188 Woodpoint Rd instead of Roebling Street
Customers who for years came to 314 Roebling Street will now find Med Sklep at 188 Woodpoint Rd, Unit #1C, Brooklyn, NY 11211, where it has been since March 2026. The store is still in Brooklyn and still serves customers in Polish.
Older flyers, saved contacts and outdated listings online may still show the previous address. Before your first visit to the new location, it is a good idea to make sure your GPS is set to Woodpoint Road.
The store is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Phone: 718-388-3355.
What medical and rehabilitation equipment does Med Sklep carry?
The store carries equipment for people with limited mobility, for patients receiving care at home, and for people who need specialty footwear. The selection includes:
- wheelchairs, including power wheelchairs, and mobility scooters,
- walkers,
- hospital beds with lifts and home care equipment,
- oxygen concentrators, tanks and nebulizers,
- incontinence supplies, such as adult briefs and diapers,
- orthopedic shoes and diabetic footwear,
- posture correction and compression therapy products.
The right equipment depends on your doctor’s recommendations and on where and how it will be used. We cover wheelchairs, scooters and walkers in more detail in our guide to mobility equipment, and footwear and compression in our guide to orthopedic shoes and compression therapy.
Why service in Polish matters
Buying medical equipment usually means juggling several things at once: the doctor’s orders, the right size, how the equipment will work at home, and sometimes insurance paperwork. Sorting all that out in a second language can be hard, especially for older adults and their caregivers.
At Med Sklep, all of it can be discussed in Polish. For Polish-speaking families in Greenpoint, Williamsburg and other Brooklyn neighborhoods, as well as in nearby Queens, that saves a lot of stress and misunderstandings.
The store works with Medicaid, Medicare and health plans. We explain how eligibility checks work in our article on medical equipment through Medicaid and Medicare. Med Sklep also ships within the U.S. and to Poland; read more in our story on shipping medical equipment to Poland.
Before you visit the store
If your equipment is to be paid for by Medicaid, Medicare or a health plan, coverage is decided by the plan or insurer, based on a doctor’s prescription. That is why it makes sense to call the store before your visit and find out which documents you will need in your situation.
A quick call helps even if you are paying without insurance. You can ask whether a specific item is in stock before driving to Woodpoint Road and save yourself a second trip.
Full contact details are in the Med Sklep listing in the Polish Pages directory.
