Message of hope

According to Father Pazio, the Pope brought the good news of salvation to Cameroon along with a message of hope. “He called for peace, for reconciliation, for healing wounds, including in those conflict-affected regions where people mourn their loved ones, where the land is soaked with the blood of their children,” said the Vatican Radio – Vatican News interlocutor.

Appeal to the youth

The Holy Father addressed particularly eloquent words to young Cameroonians. He called on them to “believe in themselves, to use their strength and enthusiasm to build a society of justice in reconciliation, in peace,” the missionary recalled.

Dialogue must continue

The Pope’s visit to Cameroon initiated a dialogue that must continue. Father Krzysztof Pazio noted that now is the time to implement the papal message “in our daily lives, the lives of church communities, in various areas of social life, so that this dialogue transforms into lasting peace, so that we live in peace and that good prevails in Cameroon and in other African countries affected by conflicts, suffering.” “May these be the fruits of this pilgrimage and the message of the Holy Father Leo XIV,” he concluded.

The Church in Cameroon

Currently, over 100 missionaries from Poland work in Cameroon. Numerous female and male religious congregations, as well as Fidei Donum priests, have been serving there for years.

In an interview with Vatican media, Father Pazio confessed that the works carried out by religious congregations are of great importance for the local Church. “Each congregation conducts evangelization works according to its charism,” he said.
