What is NAD+ and how does it work?

NAD+ is a coenzyme essential for the proper functioning of mitochondria, the “powerhouses” of our cells. Without adequate NAD+ levels, the body cannot efficiently produce energy or repair damage at the cellular level.

NAD+ is responsible for, among other things:

  • cellular energy production
  • DNA repair and protection against premature aging
  • body detoxification processes
  • proper brain function and concentration
  • activation of sirtuins – enzymes associated with longevity

With age, due to stress, chronic diseases, environmental toxins, or an intense lifestyle, NAD+ levels naturally decline. This can result in chronic fatigue, “brain fog,” slower regeneration, and accelerated aging processes.

Who can benefit from NAD+ therapy?

NAD+ therapy can be particularly helpful for individuals who:

  • experience constant fatigue despite sleep
  • have problems with memory or concentration
  • struggle with toxin overload (mold, heavy metals, chronic infections)
  • recover slowly after illness or physical exertion
  • experience burnout, anxiety, or mood swings
  • have chronic inflammation
  • are undergoing hormonal changes (menopause, andropause)
  • notice symptoms of accelerated aging

NAD+ is also used in advanced protocols supporting nervous system regeneration and in recovery processes after addictions, helping to stabilize mood, energy, and cognitive functions.

Safety of NAD+ therapy

NAD+ therapy is generally very well tolerated. The most commonly observed mild reactions include:

  • feeling of warmth or redness
  • transient fatigue or nausea
  • short-term tenderness at the injection site

In particularly sensitive individuals, detox symptoms may appear, which is why therapy should always be tailored individually. In the case of autoimmune diseases, prior consultation is necessary.

What does NAD+ therapy look like?

Currently available are:

  • NAD+ intravenous infusions in the office – $350 (duration 2–4 hours)
  • NAD+ injections in the office – $50 (required for the first dose)
  • NAD+ kits for home use – $500 (10–20 doses depending on the protocol)

Therapy can be an integral part of a personalized health plan, especially for individuals focused on energy, mental clarity, healthy aging, and body regeneration.
