According to the official press release, during the cordial discussions, satisfaction was expressed with the good relations between the Holy See and Lithuania, emphasizing the positive contribution of the Catholic Church to human dignity and the common good.
Some international issues were also discussed, with particular attention to the conflict situation in Ukraine and the Middle East. Hope was expressed that efforts would be made at every level to find diplomatic solutions to end the war.
