Museum of Polish History
On May 2, 2026, the Museum of Polish History invites you to celebrate Polish Flag Day combined with the institution’s 20th anniversary. From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, participants can enjoy outdoor events and activities within the museum’s spaces. Admission to all events is free.
The central point of the program will be a red and white parade and a joint singing of Mazurek Dąbrowskiego (Polish National Anthem) at 12:00 PM in the Educational Park. The event will be accompanied by a commemorative photo under a large Polish flag.
The program includes artistic and family workshops, guided walks around the Warsaw Citadel, meetings with historians, and creative activities for children and adults. Among other things, you can create a miniature museum in a box, participate in POMELODY family music workshops, and learn the screen printing technique.
A relaxation zone and lawn games are also planned in the Educational Park. Throughout the day, the event will be accompanied by music performed by DJ Kuba Kozak, fascinated by the history of Warsaw street and backyard music.
As part of the event, you will also be able to visit the exhibition “Round Table. A Moment of Transition”, presenting the original furniture at which the deliberations took place in 1989.
This year’s celebrations are special – on this day, the Museum of Polish History celebrates its 20th anniversary. On this occasion, additional attractions have been prepared, including an anniversary cake, photo booths, and a special commemorative publication.
– Flag Day is an opportunity for us to celebrate in an atmosphere of joy and build a sense of community. We want the Citadel to become a place open to everyone on this day – invite the organizers.
