No appointment is necessary. This event is sponsored by the New York City Department of Transportation, Potamkin Chevrolet, Safe Kids New York City, and Traffic Safety for New York City, Inc. On Saturday, February 17 a special free car safety program is being offered for “tweens” – kids ages 8 to 10 and their families. Learn how to be safer in and around the car, including a safety belt fit test, learning how to prevent getting trapped in a car trunk, why it is dangerous to leave kids alone in a car, and why it is best to walk around the car to check for kids, pets or toys behind the car. This event will be at Chevrolet-Saturn of Harlem, at 127th Street and 2nd Avenue between 11 AM and 1 PM.
