In his remarks Ambassador Wilczek explained, “Kosciuszko committed himself wholeheartedly to the American cause – which, meant both American independence and liberty for all. Kosciuszko legacy is deeply rooted here in the United States, and across the world.”

On the sunny Sunday afternoon, we were joined by the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania, the President of the Polish National Alliance, the organization which championed the construction of the Kosciuszko monument over 100 years ago, as well as dignitaries, members of the Polish-American community and the United States Armed Services.

Luiza Chwiałkowska Savage, editorial director at Politico, served as the MC of our event.

The United States Army Brass Quintet performed the anthems of the Republic of Poland and the United States of America
We thank all who joined us on this historic day to commemorate our hero – Kosciuszko!
