The Bishop’s Christmas Luncheon is sponsored by the Catholic Foundation of Brooklyn and Queens. All proceeds from the luncheon benefit the Bishop’s scholarship fund to support Catholic education and youth ministry.
The honorees include:
- Bishop Emeritus Nicholas DiMarzio who will be honored with the St. John Paull II Distinguished Stewardship Award;
- The Tablet’s Editor Emeritus Ed Wilkinson, who will be presented with the Emma A. Daniels Benefactor’s Award; and
- Robert Schirling, Board Chair of Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy, who will receive the Spirit of Hope Award.
Students from Divine Wisdom Catholic Academy will re-enact the Nativity scene at the event. 1010 WINS Reporter Juliet Papa will serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies.
