‎Annual Picnic of the Polish Library in Washington, D.C.‎

Please join us for our annual picnic to celebrate 25 YEARS OF THE POLISH LIBRARY IN WASHINGTON, DC.

We will have great attractions for you:

• Share memories about our Library – open mic
• Check if your Polish ancestors’ signatures are in the Polish Declarations of Admiration and Friendship
• Cultural performances by local artists
• The economic progress of Poland – a panel discussion by World Bank and American University experts
• The best cake – a cooking contest with awards (rules coming soon)
• Grilled kiełbasa, homemade salads, drinks and networking
• Book and DVD sale, book signing, lottery
• Sports games and playground
• Opportunity to join the Library or/and become a volunteer

Our Schedule:

• 12:00 PM – Start! Grilled kielbasa, zucchini, squash, homemade salads, lemonade, etc.

• 12:30 PM – Let’s bring back memories about our Library – open mic

• 1:00 PM – Cultural performance by Baltimore Salon Artystyczny

• 1:30 PM – The best cake cooking contest deadline. This year we are organizing, the best cake – baking contest with awards: Our theme for this year picnic is sweets and cakes! Just bring a delicious homemade dessert for the picnic. All participants will receive a free membership for a whole year to the Polish Library and the winner will receive a $25 Pottery Barn coupon! Let the best dessert win!

• 2:00 PM – President of the Polish Library birthday speech and the best cake cooking contest awards

• 2:30 PM – Economic progress of Poland – a panel discussion by the World Bank and America University experts

• 3:30 PM Lottery

• 5:00 The end. Thank you for your support!
