Call for artists the friends of polish art fine arts competition returns kat

In partnership with Friends of Polish Art, we warmly invite artists from near and far to participate in this juried celebration of creativity, heritage, and cultural expression.

First launched in 1985 and dedicated to the memory of Richard Kubiński—a passionate artist, teacher, and advocate for Polish culture—this beloved competition has long honored the richness of Polish-American art. We’re proud to reignite that tradition this year and welcome submissions to the Galeria at Orchard Lake Schools, where selected works will be on display October 5–24, 2025.

Who can apply?

All artists 18 years and older, working in any medium—painting, photography, sculpture, and more. You can submit up to 5 recent works.

What are we looking for?

All themes are welcome, but we especially encourage pieces that reflect on Poland, Polish culture, or your personal connection to either—past or present.

Prizes include:

$500 Richard Kubiński Best in Show

$400 Best Polish Theme

Additional merit and honorable mention awards

Deadline to submit:

Tuesday, September 2, 2025

Get all the details and submit your work at:

We’re so excited to collaborate again with Friends of Polish Art and can’t wait to see the creativity, stories, and spirit this year’s entries will bring. Please feel free to share this opportunity with fellow artists, art students, and anyone in your community who may be inspired to take part.

Warmly,

Ania Bieciuk
