Not long ago the Washington Post published an article announcing VP Pence’s visit to Poland and the Auschwitz death camp. The article was correctly titled. However, the Buffalo News Editorial staff chose to “retitle” the article and purposefully use the term “Polish Death Camp” in the title.
Since the article’s publication, the Anti-Discrimination Committee of the Polish American Congress, Western New York Division convened and made recommendations for addressing the matter which stands as an affront to Poland, Polish citizens, and individuals of Polish descent.
A 5 page letter with exhibits was forwarded by the Polish American Congress to the publisher of the Buffalo News on February 26th addressing the purposeful use of the term, “Polish Death Camp,” in its publication. To date there has been no response.
Buffalo News – THERE WERE NO POLISH DEATH CAMPS – THEY WERE GERMAN NAZI DEATH CAMPS!
