Polish American Congress opens voter registration drive in Maspeth

It was a busy Sunday morning at Holy Cross Parish in Maspeth as members of the Voter Registration Committee of the Polish American Congress helped parishioners fill out their registration forms.
Enrollment exceeded expectations as Holy Cross Pastor Msgr. Peter Zendzian urged his Polish parishioners to exercise their rights as American citizens and as Catholics.
Now that they have completed their voter registration forms, these two ladies from Holy Cross Parish will be casting their ballots for the first time in November.
At the invitation of Msgr. Peter Zendzian (standing left) the Downstate N.Y. Division of the Polish American Congress guided them through the paperwork.
Shown with them and with Msgr. Zendzian are some of the members of the PAC Voter Registration Committee. Standing behind the new enrollees are (from left) Msgr. Zendzian; Frank Milewski and committee chairman Chris Rybkiewicz. Andrew Kaminski (seated) helped them put the final touches on the voter applications.
