The event could not have taken place without the immense support of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish, whose hospitable walls have served the Polish community for years. The participants were personally welcomed by Father Grzegorz Markulak, pastor of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish and chaplain of the Children’s Smile Foundation. Father Markulak, who has actively supported the Foundation’s activities since the beginning of his ministry in Greenpoint, offered a short prayer, blessing the participants and wishing them a joyful evening full of new acquaintances. His warm words and openness gave the event a unique, cordial character — showing that the parish is not only a place of prayer, but also a space for building community and mutual relationships.
After the chaplain’s welcome, the event hosts took the floor — a charismatic duo: Marlena Sokół and Damian Dąbek, who ensured a great atmosphere and engaged guests in the fun throughout the evening.
During the event, participants enjoyed a rich spread — delicious snacks, hot dishes, and homemade cakes, prepared thanks to the generosity of local sponsors. Everyone had fun dancing to the music of the wonderful DJ Top Secret, who got the crowd moving. There was no shortage of the biggest Polish hits — “She Dances for Me”, “Green Eyes”, and iconic hits by Maryla Rodowicz heated up the dance floor.
The real highlight of the evening turned out to be the dance games, which allowed guests to get to know each other better and break the ice. Laughter and joy accompanied each subsequent game, and many participants emphasized that it had been a long time since they had spent such a successful Valentine’s evening.
The Valentine’s party for singles proved to be a great success — both organizationally and socially. It demonstrated that Polish-American Valentine’s Day can be not only romantic, but above all full of joy, friendship, and new acquaintances.
