About the Film

Marking 2026 as the Year of Andrzej Wajda, we present his final masterpiece, Afterimage (2016), a powerful portrayal of avant-garde painter Władysław Strzemiński. The film tells the moving story of Strzemiński’s unwavering commitment to artistic freedom in the face of Stalinist repression.
