Her passing was shared publicly by her son-in-law, U.S. Rep. Tom Suozzi, who wrote on his Facebook page that he felt “truly blessed” to have had Carol in his life.
A devout Catholic and lifelong reader, Carol was a loyal friend who gave her time generously to the people and causes she loved. Among them was the Polish Kosciuszko Foundation, where she met her husband, Mike, years ago, and the Morgan Park Summer Music Festival, a longtime Glen Cove tradition.
She was predeceased by her husband of more than five decades, Michael A. Wrotniak Jr., who passed in 2020, and is survived by her daughter, Helene Suozzi; her son, Michael J. Wrotniak; and their families.
The family has shared the following arrangements:
Visitation: Thursday, June 11, 4:00–7:30 p.m., Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, 26 Franklin Avenue, Glen Cove.
Funeral Mass: Friday, June 12, 11:30 a.m., St. Patrick’s Church, Glen Cove, followed by interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Brookville.
