There is a small detail that distinguishes a Polish home from an American one: remembering name days. In the States, birthdays eclipse everything else, and the question “When is your name day?” can be surprising to the younger generation. Meanwhile, for many Polish families, it is still a date that is remembered — and one you sometimes have to ask about, because an American calendar won’t show it.

That is why in the pocket-sized edition of Mini Polish Pages, the calendar takes up twelve pages and is — as experience shows — the main reason people keep this little booklet all year round, long after they stop needing it to look up a plumber.

What’s in the calendar

The summer edition covers a full twelve months: from July 2026 to June 2027. Each month is on a separate page, with the days of the week in both Polish and English — which matters in homes where the older generation speaks Polish and the grandchildren speak English.

Listed for each day are Polish name days — usually three names, so the chance of finding the right one is quite high. Alongside them are Polish and American holidays: from Presidents’ Day and Columbus Day to Grandparents’ Day, daylight saving time changes, the start of summer, and movable holidays.

This combination is the essence of it. A strictly Polish calendar won’t remind you of an American day off, and an American one won’t tell you when Grandma’s name day falls. In one place, you get both.

Where to get the print edition

We distribute Mini Polish Pages for free in four states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania — meaning where Polish communities are the largest.

The format is pocket-sized (5.5 × 8.5 inches, 72 pages), which was a conscious choice: the booklet is meant to fit in a car glove box, a purse, or a kitchen drawer, rather than sit on a shelf.

And here is one note worth taking seriously: copies disappear from distribution points very quickly. We get phone calls from various states asking to deliver or mail more booklets — usually when the print run has already been allocated.

Whoever gets there early takes a paper copy. The rest are left with the digital version — fortunately, identical in content.

Digital version — the same edition on your phone

If copies have already run out in your area — or you simply prefer to have the directory handy on your phone — the entire edition is available online, with no print limits. It’s the same booklet, page by page, with working page-flipping and a complete calendar.

The digital version has one advantage over paper: phone numbers are clickable, so you can call a business with a single tap instead of copying digits.

What else you will find inside

Aside from the calendar, the directory contains contact information for Polish businesses and specialists organized by industry and state — attorneys, doctors, contractors, financial services, shops, and other categories. The category index with page numbers can be found on pages 12–13.

This edition also features discount coupons from businesses that offered them, with their expiration dates provided.

Businesses interested in appearing in the next edition or in the online directory can contact the editorial office — a listing in the online directory at PolishPages.com is separate from the listing in the print edition. Editorial Staff · August 1, 2026
