Please join us as the Department of Transportation and its project consultant, Edwards and Kelcey Engineers Inc., release the preliminary recommendations of the Truck Route Management and Community Impact Reduction Study. These borough level meetings will provide an overview of both Citywide and community specific recommendations to improve the operation and management of the Truck Route Network and mitigate the negative impacts of commercial truck traffic on residential streets.
The meetings will provide an overview of the following components: truck route policies, regulations and enforcement; truck route
education and outreach program; route analysis; and signage. The Department of Transportation will be making the consultant’s Draft Technical Memoranda available the week prior to the start of the public meetings. The study can be downloaded and viewed on the NYCDOT Web site at www.nyc.gov/dot .
