* Mott Street between Canal Street & Worth Street; Bayard Street between Mulberry Street & Bowery Street; Division Street & Market Street between East Broadway & Bowery Street in Manhattan will be closed from 11am-6pm for the Taste of Chinatown.
* Astor Place between Broadway & Lafayette Street in Manhattan will be closed from 11am-6pm for the 9th Precinct Community Council Fest.
Sunday, April 22
* Waverly Place between Broadway & 5th Avenue in Manhattan will be closed from 11am-6pm for the Sierra Club Fest.
* The following streets in Manhattan will be closed from 7:30am-11am for the NYPD Holy Name Society: Formation – 55th Street & 5th Avenue; Route – south on 5th Avenue to 50th Street (St. Patrick’s Cathedral), after mass proceed south on 5th Avenue to 47th Street, west on 47th Street to 6th Avenue, north on 6th Avenue to 53rd Street (Hilton Hotel). Finish – 6th Avenue & 53rd Street.
* Times Square Island and Broadway between 42nd Street and 44th Street in Manhattan will be closed from 11am-6pm for the Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide.
* The east side of Broadway between 96th Street & 110th Street in Manhattan will be closed from 11am-6pm for the Veritas/Duke Ellington/24th Precinct Street Fair.
* Myrtle Avenue between Fresh Pond Road & Wyckoff Avenue in Queens will be closed from 11am-6pm for the Ridgewood LDC Fest.
Permits for parades, block parties, major street fairs and other public street events are issued either by NYPD or the Mayor’s Community Assistance Unit (CAU).
