The inbound (north side) of the Hamilton Avenue Drawbridge over the Gowanus Canal between Court Street and Smith Street will be closed until September 3. Two-way traffic will be maintained on the south side of the bridge. There will be three lanes inbound, one outbound 6am to 10am weekdays, and two lanes in each direction open to traffic all other times.
Two of three lanes of the Brooklyn Queens Expressway northbound between Atlantic Avenue and Cadman Plaza West may be closed 5am to 8am and one of three lanes closed 8am to 10am Sunday to facilitate under decking bridge inspection by NYCDOT.
Mulberry Street between Broome Street and Canal Street in Manhattan will be closed Friday 5pm to midnight, Saturday 11am to midnight, and Sunday 11am to 10pm for the Mulberry Street Pedestrian Mall until October 7.
East 187th Street between Arthur Avenue and Cambreleng Avenue in the Bronx will be closed Friday through Sunday from 11am to 6pm for the Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church Festival.
The following street closures are scheduled for Saturday, July 14:
* Bleecker Street between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue in Manhattan will be closed 11am to 6pm for the Our Lady of Pompei Church Festival.
* Park Avenue South between East 17th Street and East 23rd Street in Manhattan will be closed 11am to 6pm for the 14th Street Union Square LDC Street Fair
* 8th Avenue between West 42nd Street and West 57th Street in Manhattan will be closed 11am to 6pm for the West 47th -48th Street Block Association.
The following street closures are scheduled for Sunday, July 15:
* Madison Avenue between East 42nd Street and East 57th Street in Manhattan will be closed 11am to 6pm for the National Ethnic Coalition of Orgs Festival.
* Fifth Avenue between 59th Street and East 50th Street (St. Patrick’s Cathedral) in Manhattan will be closed 11am to 6pm for the Captive Nations March.
* East 60th Street between Fifth Avenue and Lexington Avenue in Manhattan will be closed 11am to 6pm for the French Institute Bastille Day.
* Smith Street between Bergen Street and Pacific Street in Brooklyn will be closed 11am to 6pm for the South Brooklyn LDC Bastille Day.
* Flatbush Avenue between Empire Boulevard and Parkside Avenue will be closed 11am to 6pm for the FEPMA Festival.
Permits for parades, block parties, major street fairs and other public street events are issued either by NYPD or the Mayor’s Community Assistance Unit (CAU).
