To reduce mosquito activity and the risk of West Nile virus, the Health Department will spray pesticide in Queens and the Bronx in the coming week. While the virus has been detected in mosquitoes in several boroughs, no human cases of West Nile virus have been identified to date.

Spraying will take place on Monday, August 13, 2007 in Queens and on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 in the Bronx between the hours of 8:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. the following morning, weather permitting
