Frank Milewski, president of the Downstate N.Y. Polish American Congress congratulates Lt. Anne Marie B. Verbil, president of the Pulaski Association of the New York City Police Department, for being selected by Comptroller William C. Thompson, Jr. as one of the honorees in his 2007 observance of Polish American Heritage Month.
With Comptroller Thompson and the Polish American Congress holding two celebrations of Polish American Heritage Month only ten days apart and each one of them taking part in both, the bonds of friendship between Thompson and the Polish American community have never been closer.
Comptroller Thompson plans to be a candidate for Mayor of New York City in 2009.
