Both are members of the Downstate N.Y. Division of the Polish American Congress. Mr. Matrejek has been the Division’s treasurer for many years and is active in several other Polonia organizations. Msgr. Wawerski is
pastor of both St. Hedwig’s Church in Floral Park and St. Ladislaus Church in Hempstead.

The Orchard Lake Schools of Orchard Lake, Michigan include SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary which trains many priests who come to the United States from Poland.
