This was the largest battle in Medieval Europe and led to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, which introduced elections for Kings and “golden freedoms” to the region.
At 5 pm today, the Polish Army Veterans Association will place a wreath at the statue of Wladyslaw Jagiello in Central Park at 79th Street, on the East Side of Turtle Pond.
