Brooklyn, NY – When New York City Comptroller John Liu (center) visited Greenpoint’s Polish & Slavic Center during the holiday season, he extended his best wishes for a Merry Christmas to New York’s Polish American community.
After the new year began, he paid another visit to Greenpoint when the Downstate N.Y. Division of the Polish American Congress invited him to its annual post-Christmas party.
This time, however, Mr. Liu became the recipient of the good wishes when the Congress discovered he was celebrating his birthday at the time.
