During their first meeting the Speaker shared some of his reflections and efforts as it concerned Poland’s accession into NATO fifteen years ago and the discussion also focused on the ongoing situation in the Central and Eastern Europe as well as US engagement. With the former Speaker visiting the region soon, the conversation also turned to energy cooperation both in the short and long term, including LNG exports, the progress and readiness of the LNG terminal being built on the Polish coastline, as well capabilities of the infrastructure across the United States and what it will have to offer in the context of bilateral cooperation.
The Speaker also expressed a strong interest in visiting Poland in the near future to learn more about energy capabilities on the ground as well as meeting with officials engaged in stronger energy cooperation between Poland and the United States.
