The Kosciuszko Foundation partners with the Polish and Slavic Federal Credit Union and the Jozef Pilsudski Institute to make the Greenpoint Mile 13 Fluid Station a Polish Station!

This year more than 400 runners from Poland are expected to take part in the world’s largest marathon that runs right through Greenpoint. Imagine how excited they will be to have a strong Polish-American presence at exactly half of the course!!!

At least 100 volunteers are needed to set up the fluid station, fill more than 100,000 cups of water and energy drink and distribute them to over 50,000 thirsty runners!

Youth under 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian. This is a great way for students to gain community service credit early in the year, for families to volunteer together and for the Polish community to get some recognition for their impact in the community.

Volunteers will receive a rain poncho, volunteer pin, canvas tote bag and certificate of appreciation.

Registration will be open through October 31.
