President Duda had invited the cadets to visit the Presidential Palace when he visited West Point in 2017.
The cadets are members of the Military Academy’s Kosciuszko Squadron, an organization which promotes Polish heritage and the legacy of General Thaddeus Kosciuszko. They are visiting Poland during their Spring Break and will also see the Kosciuszko Mound in Krakow. The Kosciuszko Squadron was established in 1939 by the late General Edward Rowny when he was himself a cadet at West Point.
