Starting May 14, 2025, many PAC representatives will participate in in-person lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. They will visit numerous Congressional offices in both the House and Senate, personally meeting with Representatives and Senators to advocate for the interests of Polonia and Poland in the United States.
In addition, on April 26, 2025, the Polish American Congress will be represented at the 22nd Annual Tadeusz Kościuszko Conference at West Point, New York. This event will bring together scholars from the United States and Poland to celebrate Kościuszko’s extraordinary contributions to the American Revolutionary War, including his defense of the West Point fortress from British forces. At 11:30 AM, a Wreath-Laying Ceremony will occur at the restored Kościuszko Monument.
The Polish American Congress remains active nationwide, with Divisions in 23 states and in Poland. In early May, our delegation will travel to Warsaw to participate in the Polonia Day celebrations on May 2 and the May 3rd Constitution Day events.
Lastly, on March 16, 2025, we held our annual Polish American Congress New York Downstate Division meeting. While attendance was lower than expected, we decided that the next meeting will be held in June in a more festive atmosphere, featuring Polish food and drinks, and the opportunity to meet new members.
Please remember, all officers of the National PAC office and Executive Board members of our Divisions serve as unpaid volunteers. None of us, including me, receives any compensation from member dues. All dues collected go directly to the National PAC office in Chicago, which is also staffed entirely by volunteers.
