1. Information We Collect

• Advertisers & Contributors: If you purchase a Sponsored Article, Guest Post, or Banner Ad via our online system (powered by SureCart), we collect business name and Tax ID (if applicable), billing address, and contact name and email.
• Payment Information: We use Stripe, Inc. to process payments. We do not store full credit card numbers; we retain only secure payment tokens.
• Newsletter Subscribers: If you subscribe, we collect your email and the date/time of your consent (double opt-in).
• Commenters: If you post a comment under an article, we may collect your display name, email address (not displayed publicly), and the IP address from which the comment was submitted, to prevent spam.

Sensitive Information (please do not submit)

You should not submit medical, health, insurance, legal, financial, or other sensitive personal information in comments or contact forms. Polish Pages, Inc. is not a healthcare, legal, insurance, or financial provider and does not provide professional advice through this Site.

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically (Readers)

• Transaction Processing: To fulfill orders for Sponsored Articles and generate invoices.
• Community Management: To moderate comments, prevent hate speech, and block spam bots.

We employ industry-standard security measures (SSL/TLS). Payment data is handled in compliance with PCI-DSS by Stripe. No method of transmission is 100% secure.

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the size, scope, and nature of our business — including access controls, vendor review, logging, backup security, incident response, employee training, and secure disposal — consistent with the New York SHIELD Act and applicable law.

6.1 Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours (GDPR Article 33) where applicable; notify affected individuals without unreasonable delay; and comply with New York General Business Law §899-aa.

7. International Data Transfers

Polish Pages, Inc. is based in the United States. If you access Poland.us from Europe or other regions, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. For transfers from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland to the United States, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, where required. Polish Pages, Inc. does not hold certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and does not rely on the invalidated EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. Any prior Privacy Shield or Data Privacy Framework representations are withdrawn and superseded.

9. Sponsored Content Disclosure

In compliance with FTC Endorsement Guidelines (16 CFR Part 255), the FTC Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule, and New York General Business Law §349:

• All Sponsored Articles, Guest Posts, and paid promotional content are clearly labeled as “PROMOCJE” (Sponsored) or “Artykuł Sponsorowany.”
• Sponsored content represents the views of the advertiser, not the editorial position of Dziennik Polonijny.
• We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of claims in sponsored content.
• Advertisers may not submit fake reviews, misleading endorsements, undisclosed paid testimonials, or fabricated claims, and are solely responsible for compliance with advertising laws.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our News Portal is intended for a general audience but is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children. If we become aware of inadvertent collection, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date indicates the latest changes. For material changes, we will post a prominent notice on the Site.
