We had to go through an intense process in deciding to postpone the Ball, and we have considered all possible outcomes. This was a very difficult decision that amounts to dire revenue losses, but the pandemic is still spreading across the globe and your health and well-being are unquestionably the most important to us. There is beautiful energy during the social season of our Ball which made it even harder to cancel on greeting you at the Plaza Hotel this year.
Notably, the Kosciuszko Foundation Annual Fundraising Dinner and Ball has been held continually for over 80 years and has always been a major fundraising source. It sponsors our ongoing scholarship programs and cultural campaigns throughout the year. The KF Fundraising Ball is the major source of income for the Foundation’s mission. Moreover, it is the grandest event, that we can meet all of you, our loyal friends and supporters.
Everyone this year is facing difficult times, particularly nonprofits like us. .
