The aim of the program is to foster reflection on the experience of facing two totalitarian regimes (Nazi-German and Soviet) in East-Central Europe in the 20th century. Studying and sharing the history of the Second World War, mass-violence and genocide on a scale never seen before will conclude in the examination of how these experiences relate to the modern day. The program will be implemented jointly by The Pilecki Institute (Poland) and Valdosta State University (Georgia, USA).
