The Holy Father, in a message addressed to Poles during Wednesday’s general audience, spoke about vacation time and the life choices facing young people.
Discovering God in the beauty of the world
“I cordially greet Poles, especially children and young people. Holidays are a time for rest and for finding signs of God in the beauty of creation. Use them for more frequent participation in Holy Mass, meditation on the Word of God, retreats, pilgrimages, and meetings with loved ones,” said the Pope.
Choose studies wisely, discern your vocation
“Let us also pray for young people for wise choices of schools and studies and for prudent discernment of their own vocation. I bless you all!” added the Holy Father.
Bishops and pilgrims from Poland present
Among those participating in the audience was Bishop Krzysztof Zadarko, who in February of this year was appointed by Leo XIV as the diocesan bishop of the Diocese of Koszalin-Kołobrzeg. Bishop Zadarko serves, among other roles, as the head of migrant and refugee pastoral care within the Polish Bishops’ Conference.
Also present at the audience was Archbishop Stanisław Budzik, Metropolitan of Lublin, with the newly ordained priests of the Archdiocese of Lublin.
Additionally, groups of pilgrims arrived from the Parish of St. Adalbert in Boruja Kościelna, pilgrims from Elbląg, from the Parish of St. Anthony in Toruń, as well as individuals from Poland and abroad.
