Applications for the Kosciuszko Foundation’s 2026 Wieniawski Violin Competition will be accepted through August 16, 2026.
Eligible applicants include violinists of all nationalities, ages 16-30, who are US citizens, permanent residents, or holders of a valid US visa.
More than $20,000 in cash prizes and performance awards will be presented.
The 2026 Competition will be held under the artistic direction of Adrian Sylveen, an internationally active conductor and violinist, who will also serve on the jury. Joining him will be Philip Setzer, founding member of the Grammy Award–winning Emerson String Quartet and one of the leading figures in chamber music performance, and Joanna Kurkowicz, an acclaimed soloist, chamber musician, and concertmaster with an international performing and recording career.
The Final Round will feature Eugene Drucker as Honorary Juror. A nine-time Grammy Award winner and three-time Gramophone Magazine Award recipient, Drucker is widely recognized as one of the most distinguished violinists of his generation.
