According to the official press release, during the cordial discussions, appreciation was expressed for the good bilateral relations between the Holy See and Iceland. The positive contribution of the local Church to promoting the common good of society, especially among younger generations, was highlighted.
Furthermore, regional and international issues were also discussed, especially conflict situations, the need for dialogue, and prospects for peace.
